This is an original US 3rd Infantry Division patch featuring the famous blue and white insignia.
Unit History & Symbolism
The 3rd Infantry Division earned the nickname Rock of the Marne during World War One for holding the line along the Marne River. The unit insignia consists of a 6cm x 6cm square patch featuring three white diagonal stripes set on a blue field. The stripes represent the division's major World War One campaigns: Marne, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne.
