All orders are packed and dispatched directly from our central facility in Aberystwyth, Wales. We use trusted, tracked global carriers to deliver your military surplus gear securely.
Order Processing & Dispatch
We work to get your surplus gear on the road as quickly as possible. Our warehouse team operates Monday through Friday, ensuring rapid packing and handover to our courier networks.
- Same-Day Dispatch Cut-off: Orders placed before 1:00 PM (UK time) Monday to Friday are typically dispatched on the same day.
- Weekend Orders: Orders received after 1:00 PM on Friday or over the weekend will be processed and dispatched on the following Monday (excluding bank holidays).
- Full Tracking: All parcel services are tracked, and you will receive a tracking link via email as soon as your shipment is generated.

Calculated Rates & Checkout
Because military surplus gear varies significantly in weight and size (from light insignias and T-shirts to heavy steel helmets, cargo bags, and coats), shipping costs are calculated dynamically at the checkout.
Our system calculates the exact volumetric weight of your shopping basket and matches it with the best carrier rates available for your destination. You will always see the exact shipping options and costs before entering your payment details.
International & Custom Duties
We ship worldwide. However, if you are purchasing from outside the UK, please note the customs policies:
- European Union (IOSS): For many EU destinations, we utilize the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) system to collect local VAT at the point of sale. This helps ensure faster customs clearance and prevents local postal service handling fees upon arrival.
- Norway (VOEC): VOEC compliance is utilized for eligible orders where applicable.
- Other International Destinations: For countries outside of IOSS or VOEC agreements, you are responsible for any import customs clearance fees, local taxes, or import tariffs imposed by your country's government. These charges are collected by the courier or local post office and are not controlled by SurplusQM.
