Full Description
This is a US brown ribbed 'Radar' hat, inspired by the classic military jeep cap.
WWII M1941 Army Heritage
Originally issued to the US Army on November 9, 1941, as the Cap, Wool, Knit, M1941, this design was engineered to provide warmth and cushioning under heavy steel M1 helmets. GI drivers of open-top vehicles quickly adopted them, earning them the nickname jeep cap. The style became globally famous as the Radar hat from the television series M*A*S*H.
Ribbed Knit Utility
Made for the historic American brand Red Wing Shoes, this cap is made with a double-layer 100% acrylic knit. This synthetic build offers excellent thermal retention while drying much faster than traditional wool. The robust ribbed knit structure ensures a comfortable, snug fit that retains its shape over years of hard wear, making it a reliable barrier in freezing winds.
Field Visor and Ear Protection
The integrated short visor shields your eyes from glare and light rain without obstructing your field of view during bushcraft or workwear tasks. The fold-over cuff can be rolled down to fully cover your ears and neck, providing instant protection when temperatures drop. It fits easily under hoods or safety helmets, solving the problem of winter cold in the field.
Equip yourself with a classic workwear staple that combines military history with everyday practical warmth.
