This is an original Soviet pilot camel wool jumper in exceptional Supergrade surplus condition.

Cold War Flight Protection

Originally issued to Soviet Air Force (VVS) pilots, this pullover was made for sub-zero cabin conditions. It was also issued to mountain troops and elite units for cold-weather operations. Made under Soviet GOST standards at the Podolsk factory, it acts as a tough mid-layer for modern winter hiking, bushcraft, and outdoor work.

Natural Insulation Properties

The jumper is made from natural camel wool blended with acrylic to prevent shrinking. Unlike synthetic fleece, this dense knit breathes naturally, manages sweat, and insulates even when damp. The sand-beige colour represents the natural shade of undyed camel hair, giving it a classic and timeless vintage appearance.

Heavy-Duty Utility Design

Built for active wear under flight gear, it features a high-ribbed mock collar that protects the neck from cold. Elastic cuffs and hem seal out freezing wind during movement. The heavy-gauge weave is naturally elastic, letting you stretch and work comfortably without losing the garment's shape.
