East German NVA Grey Webbing Belt

This is an original East German NVA grey webbing belt featuring its iconic metal buckle.

NVA Service History

Introduced in the mid-1960s to replace outdated leather field belts, this DDR Feldkoppel was standard issue for the East German Nationale Volksarmee. The face of the pebbled alloy box buckle is embossed with the socialist hammer and compass inside a wreath of rye, representing the workers, farmers, and intelligentsia of East Germany. This is a genuine piece of late Cold War history.

Load-Bearing Design

Engineered for field service, the heavy-duty grey webbing is tightly woven from rot-resistant polyester. This ensures the belt does not stretch or degrade when wet, unlike civilian canvas or leather. At 45mm wide, it supports lightweight load-bearing gear such as canteens or ammo pouches. The sliding metal bar on the reverse allows you to lock in a precise, non-slip waist size.

Sourced as genuine surplus, these belts are graded as Grade 1, displaying minor scuffs on the grey lacquer buckle or slight fabric wear that adds unique vintage character. Refusal Policy
