Full Description
Complete your Cold War shelter setup with this genuine Hungarian Army Zeltbahn Pole and Pegs Set. Originally issued to the Hungarian Defense Forces, this set was designed to support the classic modular 'Lavvu' style pup tents.
During the Cold War, Hungarian soldiers transitioned from using rifles to support their shelters to using these compact, packable steel sets. The included carry pouch features the distinct Hungarian M49/82 tricolour 'swirl' camouflage, a classic pattern used by the military up until 2000.
This set includes a 4-section modular galvanised steel pole with protective plastic tips, approximately 10 steel pegs, and the camo pouch. These are in imperfect, used surplus condition with potential bends or rust, but easily clean up with steel wool and lubricant, making them ideal project pieces.
