These original German Navy deck shoes are genuine military surplus boots built for reliable shipboard and outdoor wear.

German Navy Heritage

Designed for the German Federal Navy (Bundesmarine), these boots were originally issued to shipboard crews. They are officially designated as Bordschuhe, engineered for hot machinery rooms. Sourced in lightly used Grade 1 condition, they offer a unique historical look and unmatched durability that sets them apart from standard civilian footwear.

Materials & Construction

These boots feature a rugged black leather chassis combined with tough canvas side panels to reduce weight and allow heat to escape. Three drainage eyelets on the inner arch let water run out and allow air to circulate. The design utilizes premium German Stocko hardware for the eyelets and speed-lacing system, ensuring long-term utility in harsh, salty conditions.

Outsole & Grip

The vulcanized rubber sole features a specialized tread pattern with a stable 3cm heel. Stamped with 'Öl- und Benzinfest' and 'Antistatisch', the sole provides a firm footing on wet, oil-slicked surfaces. This extreme slip-resistance makes these boots highly functional today for outdoor activities like bushcraft, hiking, or working on slick surfaces.
