This original German Border Police BGS poncho is a genuine Cold War military rain cape.
Cold War Sumpftarn Camouflage
Issued to West Germany's Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) from the 1950s, this rain cape features the iconic Sumpftarn pattern. Derived from late-WWII German camouflage, this 'swamp' design uses blurred geometric shapes and vertical 'rain' lines to break up human outlines in woodlands. The reversible design flips to a solid tan backing, adapting to arid fields or urban borders.
Heavy-Duty Weather Protection
Made from a durable, rubberised water-resistant fabric, this poncho keeps you dry in heavy downpours. It is engineered with a four-button collar that seals against wind and rain around your neck.
