Cold War NBC Origins

These boots were originally issued in the German Bundeswehr from the 1970s to the 1990s as part of their NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) defence kits. Engineered by contractor Cosmoped to strict NATO standards, they carry the official designation Überschuhe and NSN 8430-12-322-4497. They are supplied in Supergrade condition, meaning they are unissued military stock.

Advanced Waterproof Barrier

Made from a heavy-duty rubber polymer, they feature a full-length YKK front zipper for rapid donning over muddy boots. A continuous internal rubber gusset behind the zipper prevents water ingress, maintaining a completely watertight seal. The tall shaft of approximately 31cm ensures your underlying leather boots and trousers remain dry in deep mud or high grass.

Traction and Utility

The sole is marked antistatisch (anti-static) and is highly resistant to oil, petrol, and mild chemicals, making them ideal for workwear. A mini-cleat waffle tread provides dependable traction on slick surfaces without trapping heavy clods of clay.
