This rucksack is made from thick, durable canvas in the distinct East German Strichtarn camouflage pattern, colloquially known as 'One Stripe, No Stripe'. It features a single, large internal compartment designed for maximum packing. The main compartment is secured by a lid that fastens with two sturdy metal buckles and durable leather-tipped straps. Multiple metal loops and D-rings around the exterior offer versatile attachment points for additional equipment. A clear plastic window on the front flap is provided for identification or labeling. The material is robust and water-resistant, making it suitable for various conditions. This is a genuine piece of East German National People's Army (NVA) equipment, used from 1965 until 1990.
