Genuine Military History
These original British Army rank chevrons represent the rank of Lance Corporal. Issued between 1920 and 1953, they were used on wool uniforms during World War Two and World War One. A Lance Corporal was the assistant section leader in the infantry, often held by specialists like drivers or gunners.
Period Materials
Each patch is made from rough brown wool with a slightly fuzzy feel. They feature a white cotton herringbone pattern along the edges. This creates a strong contrast and look. These materials are very flexible, making them easy to sew onto sleeves.
