This genuine Austrian Army Pilot Bag is a versatile, military-grade daypack.

Cold War Military Heritage

Originally issued in 1975 as part of the Austrian Kampfanzug 75 (KAZ 75) gear system, this pack is officially known as the Kleine Kampftasche. It was designed for the Austrian Armed Forces (Bundesheer) to replace heavy canvas. The bag is made from robust, water-resistant polyamide nylon in classic Austrian RAL 7013 Steingrau-Oliv.

Functional Field Layout

The interior is engineered for smart layout. A secure drawstring neck under the main flap protects your gear from dust and rain. Inside, three divided compartments keep your water bottle, tools, or camp stove separated so they do not rattle or shift. External adjustable cinch straps compress the pack when partially loaded to keep it stable on your back.

Versatile Carrying System

This bag includes the original removable H-harness. These padded shoulder straps feature durable metal clips that let you wear the bag as a backpack or remove them to use it as a shoulder bag. Grade-one like-new surplus condition ensures the fabric, metal buckles, and web straps are ready for rugged bushcraft, hiking, or vintage utility wear.
