Original Military History

These are genuine, original Chinese army slings issued for the Type 56 carbine and Type 81 assault rifle. Built for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) during the Cold War, they were engineered for infantrymen who needed a reliable carry strap. The heavy-duty cotton canvas webbing is designed not to melt or fray when coming into contact with a hot barrel in combat.

Silent Attachment and Design

Unlike noisy metal clips, these slings use genuine leather attachment tabs. This design choice provides excellent noise discipline in the field, preventing metal-on-metal clanging while protecting your rifle's wood and metal finish from scratches. The durable leather loops attach securely to standard sling swivels with steel rivets.

Two Practical Variants

We offer two original military variants. The Type 56 sling has leather tabs on metal D-rings at both ends, while the Type 81 sling has a D-ring tab on one end and a direct-sewn tab on the other. Both include a strong metal slider buckle for quick length adjustment, making them highly versatile for modern hunting, bushcraft, or carrying heavy outdoor gear.

Grade 1 Surplus Quality

These original slings are supplied in excellent Grade 1 surplus condition. They are lightly used and fully functional, showing only minor storage wear or slight metal tarnish that adds to their character. Exchanges (UK Only)
We offer a "Shared Cost" exchange service within the UK. You cover the cost of returning the item to us, and we will pay the shipping cost to send the new exchange item back out to you.

International Orders
We are currently unable to offer an exchange service for orders outside of the UK. International customers should return their unwanted items for a refund and place a new order for the alternative size/item.
