This is a genuine M1 Helmet Suspension Assembly, direct from US military surplus and in like-new, unissued condition. Presented in a deep olive drab green, it features adjustable elasticated nylon straps for comfort and stability. This design was inspired by American football helmets.
The assembly connects to the inside of any M1 helmet shell using **steel clips**. Faint stenciled markings, including 'SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY', are visible on the straps.
