Cold War Military Design
The East German Strichtarn Winter Jacket was issued to Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) troops during the late Cold War. Designed for cold winter service, it features the distinctive Strichtarn raindrop camouflage pattern. Its dense cotton-polyester shell provides high wind resistance while resisting tears from heavy brush.
Thermal Padding and Protection
Built for freeze-prone climates, the jacket incorporates a thick quilted polyester insulation that traps body warmth. A heavy-duty buttoned front storm flap seals out driving wind and snow. Internal elasticated ribbed sleeve cuffs fit snugly against wrists to prevent freezing air from entering.
Functional Multi-Pocket Layout
Utility remains a major focus with two deep lower hand pockets, two buttoned chest pockets, and button-down upper arm pockets for quick access. An internal chest pocket features original military inspection ink stamps. This makes the coat ideal for bushcraft, outdoor work, or casual winter wear.
