This is an original East German NVA DDR EM Cap Badge, worn on enlisted visor caps.

Cold War Design & Symbolism

This original Mützenkranz features the classic national emblem of the former German Democratic Republic (DDR) in the centre. The red-enamelled cockade displays the iconic hammer and compass wrapped in a ring of rye, which is flanked by detailed silver-coloured oak leaves. This emblem was standard issue for the East German Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) from 1956 to 1990.

Lightweight Aluminium Construction

Made from stamped aluminium, this lightweight cap badge is built to last without weighing down your visor cap.
