These are genuine British Army lightweight trousers, the classic general service fatigue pants in olive green.

Cold War Heritage

These trousers were introduced in the early 1970s as the standard general service wear for UK forces. They became a staple during conflicts like the Falklands War. Troops in Airborne and Royal Marine units often preferred them because they perform well in harsh conditions. They replaced heavier cotton overalls to provide a lighter, more functional utility pant.

Quick-Drying Fabric

The trousers are made from a tough 60% polyester and 40% cotton blend. This specific fabric mix makes them highly durable and resistant to daily wear. Unlike heavy cotton combat pants, this lightweight material is highly breathable and dries incredibly fast when wet. This makes them ideal for unpredictable outdoor weather and hard workwear duties.

Field-Ready Details
