This original Austrian Army folding shovel is a genuine military surplus tool complete with its protective green cover.

Classic Alpine Design

Issued to the Austrian Bundesheer, this entrenching tool is a heavy-duty copy of the classic US M43 folding shovel. Made for infantry troops operating in tough alpine environments, it features the official HBA marking on the steel blade, proving its military origin. It represents decades of field-tested engineering designed to withstand extreme mountain conditions.

Solid Steel Utility

The pointed steel blade is secured by a robust, textured threaded locking collar. By turning this collar, you can lock the blade at a 90-degree angle for scraping or clearing hard ground, or keep it straight for standard digging. The straight hardwood handle naturally absorbs high impact shocks far better than modern plastic, reducing hand fatigue during long hours of work.

Compact Field Carriage

This tool comes in a double-layered PVC Spatentasche cover. The backing has heavy-duty M1910 metal wire keepers, allowing you to attach it to standard eyelet combat belts or backpacks.
