Swiss military rubberised build

Originally issued to Swiss troops, this Schweizer Trinkwassersack is made from thick, double-sided rubberised canvas. The tough, vulcanised material means it won't puncture or tear on rough terrain like standard plastic jerry cans. It holds 20 litres of drinking water and rolls up flat when empty, making it simple to pack away in your vehicle or rucksack.

Dosing valve and carry handles

You get heavy-duty rope handles at both ends, threaded through brass eyelets with plastic sleeve covers. This allows you to carry the bag easily or hang it from a branch or roof rack. It features a plastic screw cap with a built-in, spring-loaded push-button dosing valve. Just press the button for a controlled flow of water to wash your hands or fill your camping kettle.

Solar-heated camp shower

Because the heavy rubber exterior is matte black, it absorbs solar heat very efficiently. If you leave it full in the sun for about three hours, the water inside can heat up to over 30°C. This makes it an ideal makeshift solar camp shower or warm dishwashing station. The front has the original multilingual print clearly stating it is for drinking water only.
