This original East German NVA rifle sling is a genuine Cold War military surplus carry strap.

Warsaw Pact Service History

Originally called the Gewehrriemen, this strap was issued to the East German Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) during the late Cold War. Designed for the MPi-K and MPi-AK-74 rifle series, it served border guards and infantry. Collectors value this original-issue gear for restoring vintage Warsaw Pact weapons to true military specifications.

Tactical Utility & Specifications

This sling features heavy-duty grey nylon webbing that resists moisture and rot, outperforming older leather designs in wet field conditions. The strap is fully adjustable, extending from 34 to 48 inches via a steel slide buckle. A grey rubber keeper loop prevents excess strap from flapping and snagging while moving through dense brush.
