This is an original US Army M43 Cotton Hood, a genuine piece of post-war surplus gear in classic olive drab. Designed as a direct replacement for the hood originally issued with the M43 field jacket, it offers authentic military functionality.
Made from 100% cotton, this hood is designed for hard-wearing use. It features a practical button-up front closure and an adjustable drawstring around the opening, allowing you to get a snug fit that helps keep out wind and rain. Inside, you'll find neat stitching. Some hoods may carry original markings, such as size information (e.g., SMALL (32-34)) and STOCK NO. 75-H-44022-60. Due to the nature of surplus items, expect slight variations in colour and condition, adding to its unique character.
