This original US Jungle School patch was issued to graduates of military jungle warfare training.
Panama Training Heritage
First established in 1951 at Fort Sherman, Panama, the Jungle Operations Training Centre prepared military personnel for harsh tropical environments. Graduates earned this distinctive insignia after completing intensive courses in jungle navigation, riverine operations, and survival skills. It represents specialized training undertaken during the Cold War and Vietnam War eras.
Embroidered Insignia Specifications
This shield-shaped patch measures approximately 7.5cm by 7.5cm and features a deep blue background with dense white embroidery. The design displays a three-masted galleon with a cross on the mainsail, topped by a curved rocker reading JUNGLE EXPERT.
