US XXIV Corps Patch
Good used condition. Fully functional and field-ready, with light wear and typical service markings.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
This is an original US XXIV Corps patch from genuine military surplus stock.
Pacific and Vietnam Service
Activated in Hawaii in 1944, the XXIV Corps led key Pacific assaults during the Leyte and Okinawa campaigns. Later reactivated in 1968 for the Vietnam War, this shoulder sleeve insignia was worn by soldiers overseeing operations in the northern provinces until 1972.
Insignia Construction and Design
The patch features a shield-shaped design with a deep blue background and a white heart at its centre, inspired by Civil War heraldry. Measuring roughly 6cm by 7cm, it is made from embroidered cotton thread with a khaki twill backing and cut edges for uniform application.
Practical Uses and Display
Ideal for military collectors, tunic restoration, and display shadow boxes, this patch offers genuine historical utility. The compact 6cm x 7cm profile makes it simple to stitch onto period clothing or mount alongside medal collections without taking up excess space.
Complete your uniform restoration or collection display with this original military surplus patch.
This item was used by the US Army during the WWII (1939–1945) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
