WW2 Division Heritage
The 102nd Infantry Division, nicknamed the Ozark Division, served in Western Europe during World War 2. Activated in 1942, the unit fought through the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns. This shoulder sleeve insignia identifies the primary division headquarters on military tunics and field jackets.
Insignia Design and Meaning
The central motif combines a gold letter Z and arc inside an outer circular ring on a dark blue backdrop. This spells out the Ozark name, referencing the region where the unit was formed. The arc symbolizes an Indian bow for marksmanship, while gold and blue represent valour and distinction.
