Austrian Army Thermal Combat Trousers
Excellent, near-new condition. May be unissued or show only the slightest signs of long-term storage.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
Genuine Austrian Army Thermal Combat Trousers provide reliable insulation during cold-weather outdoor activities.
Alpine Cold Protection
These genuine issue trousers were originally developed as the Kampfanzug 75 (KAZ 75) system for soldiers facing sub-zero Alpine temperatures. The robust outer shell is made from a dense, wind-resistant polycotton blend, paired with a fully quilted thermal lining. This twin-layer build traps body heat while remaining breathable enough for active movement.
Austrian Military Design
Engineered for functional comfort, the trousers feature a high-waisted cut that protects your kidneys from cold drafts. The integrated adjustable braces distribute the weight of the heavy-duty trousers evenly across your shoulders, preventing sagging. Heavyweight buttoned lower leg cuffs run up the side of each ankle, allowing you to dress quickly without removing your footwear.
Practical Outdoor Utility
Built to last, these Grade 1 surplus trousers are ideal for winter bushcraft, hunting, and demanding outdoor work. The six generously sized pockets, including button-closed thigh cargo pockets, provide secure storage for tools, maps, and gear. The classic RAL 7013 grey-green colour blends naturally into woodland surroundings, offering a timeless, utilitarian look.
Equip yourself with these battle-proven Austrian trousers for your next freezing outdoor expedition.
This item was issued to the Austrian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and remains in Supergrade condition. It is unissued original surplus, but may have minor dust or storage marks from warehouse storage. We recommend giving it a wash or airing it out before wearing.

Supergrade is our highest condition rating for genuine military surplus. Items in this category are in near-new, top-tier condition and have seen little to no field use.
- Origin: Typically unissued reserve stock, trial gear, or kit issued but never actively deployed.
- Fabric & Materials: Crisp, fully intact, and structurally perfect with original color vibrancy and no fading.
- Hardware & Fastenings: Zips, press studs, hook-and-loop closures, and buckles operate like new with no functional wear.
- Markings & Repairs: No holes, tears, repairs, or personalized user markings. Factory issue labels and faint depot storage stamps may be present.
- Storage & Scent: May show minor creasing or light dust from transit. Like most authentic military surplus held in long-term dry storage, items may carry a faint warehouse scent that clears easily with a quick first wash or air-out.
“Lovely and warm, fit perfectly and are in great condition, what more could you ask for.”
“Ordered a wrong size but replacement was quick and easy. High quality padded overtrousers, nice and toasty. Arrived in clean, great condition. Lovely and warm.”
“Just wore these whilst on a 2 night fishing trip as an outer layer. Kept me warm through night. Didn't need my sleeping bag. Really good product.”
“Very high quality warm padded trousers. Maybe not as refined as outdoors 'technical' trousers but a lot cheaper and probably more hard wearing. The 36 long fits me fine and I'm 6'2".”
“Brought these to wear when fishing. They arrived swiftly despite Covid. They are a good fit with adjustable legs. When worn over my tracksuit bottoms they are very warm and they stop the wind chill, all in all very good buy and I would definitely buy again.”
