KEY FEATURES
Protect your pack from the elements with the genuine Dutch Army Bergen Cover.
Dutch DPM Camouflage
Originally issued to the Koninklijke Landmacht (Royal Netherlands Army) in 1991, this rucksack cover features the classic Dutch Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM). This four-colour woodland scheme was specifically engineered to break up visual profiles in dense European forests, making it far more effective for field concealment than standard commercial olive green options.
Waterproof Ripstop Fabric
Built for demanding field service, this cover is made from heavy-duty polyamide nylon with a grid-like ripstop weave to prevent accidental snags from tearing open. An internal polyurethane coating provides a complete rain barrier, while the durable bungee drawcord with a slide-lock toggle ensures a secure, windproof fit over your pack even when moving fast.
Multi-Purpose Field Utility
When laid flat, this cover functions as a 3.5 ft by 3.5 ft bushcraft utility sheet for sorting your gear on wet ground or keeping wet items isolated. Itās highly versatile for camping or outdoor storage, and when the weather clears, it packs directly into its own integrated stuff pouch, taking up minimal space in your pocket or pack.
Shield your gear from unexpected downpours with this proven piece of military kit.
This item was used by the Dutch Army during the PostāCold War (1991ā2000) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
This four-color temperate brushstroke pattern is a derivative of British DPM, featuring black, chocolate brown, and olive green disruptive shapes on a yellowish-tan background, often noted for its slightly muted appearance. Adopted in 1993 as part of the M-93 uniform for the Royal Netherlands Army, it was optimized for concealment within the dense forests and fields of northwest European terrain.

āIt's in really good condition and works perfectlyā
āIn good condition. Delivered on schedule. Some fading but only some. Camouflage pattern is still very visible. Very happy.ā
āElastic is grand, good condition.ā
āThis bergen cover is huge. It says 60L on the label, but it could almost be used as a tent. I use it on a Dutch Army 35L daypack, with several MOLLE and ALICE pouches mounted on the outside, and it fits with plenty of room to spare. It arrived in perfect condition, and definitely looks like it was made to last. Many thanks to FU&K, another order fulfilled perfectly.ā
āGood multi purpose pice of kit and cheep. I use it as intended bergen cover but also as a mat under my hammock to step on and cove boots at night. Also to keep fire wood dry and luggage dry when kayaking. It comes with para cord but will replace this with shock cord in future.ā
