This is a modern 1950s French pilot style watch, styled after classic military aviation timepieces.

Historical Design

This modern reproduction watch is inspired by the legendary 1950s French military aviator timepieces. Originally made for French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) and naval pilots under the strict Type 20 aviation standard, these watches prioritised instant dial legibility. This tribute piece replicates that classic aviation look with a clean, functional military dial design.

Technical Specifications

The watch features a 36mm metal case with a distinct ridged bezel edge. A reliable Japanese quartz movement drives the hands. The high-contrast black dial features printed luminous green numerals and hands, making it easy to read in low light. It is fitted with a comfortable 16mm brown leatherette strap and a secure buckle.

Setting Up the Watch

For transit, a plastic stopper keeps the crown pulled out to save battery life. While pulled out, the hands are free-moving; they will lock and tick normally once you remove the clip and push the crown fully in.
