The original US Army rayon neckerchief is a genuine Vietnam War-era military dress accessory.
Branch Identification
These neckerchiefs served as Branch of Service (B.O.S.) identifiers for US Army personnel during the Vietnam War. Different colours signified specific roles: light blue for Infantry units, red for Ordnance and Maintenance, and maroon for Medical units. Worn with service dress uniforms, they provided a clean uniform appearance on parade and ceremonial duty.
Fabric and Care
Made from 100% woven rayon, the fabric is lightweight, soft against the skin, and breathable in warm weather. The smooth weave sits comfortably around the neck without bulk. To keep the fabric in good condition, hand wash in cool water and line dry.
Style and Fit
Available in two distinct styles. The scarf design in red or light blue is made to be folded and tied as a classic neckerchief. The maroon bib style features a wide front panel for chest coverage and a three-popper collar strap for quick, adjustable fitting.

This item was used by the US Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
