Full Description
This original East German NVA equipment strap in grey is a genuine Cold War utility tie-down.
Eastern Bloc Field Utility
Originally issued to the National People's Army (Nationale Volksarmee or NVA) of East Germany, this strap was an essential part of the Sturmgepäck battle pack system. Known as a Packriemen or Rödelriemen, it was engineered to lashing blankets, Zeltbahn shelter halves, or greatcoats to webbing gear, providing reliable cargo security in demanding tactical environments.
Dederon Webbing & Lederol Tab
These 45cm grey straps are built from heavy-duty Dederon nylon webbing, the famous synthetic polyamide fibre used in the DDR. The weave is rot-resistant and ignores moisture, outperforming traditional canvas. A stitched grey Lederol synthetic leather tab on one end buttons onto a steel mushroom stud, creating a secure attachment loop that will not slip under tension.
Modern Outdoor Versatility
Featuring a rugged zinc-plated slide buckle and a pointed metal end tip, this strap handles quick adjustments without fraying. It is perfect for modern bushcraft, camping, and hiking, letting you cinch down sleeping mats, axe handles, or tools. For military collectors and reenactors, it is the key piece for finishing an accurate Cold War webbing setup.
Secure your field gear with a piece of genuine Cold War engineering.
