Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
This original Bundeswehr Luftwaffe blue coat features authentic honour guard insignia.
Elite Honour Guard Heritage
Issued to the German Air Force component of the Wachbataillon BMVg, this ceremonial Dienstmantel served during official state protocol duties. Both sleeves feature embroidered gothic Ärmelstreifen cuff titles, paired with golden-yellow (goldgelb) piped shoulder boards representing the air force branch colour. It delivers genuine military history in a sharp cut.
Adaptable All-Season Design
Built from a dense navy blue gabardine shell, this overcoat blocks biting winds while retaining a clean drape. It includes a removable zip-out chequered liner, allowing you to switch between a warm winter barrier and a lightweight mid-season coat. A double-breasted closure with six silver pebbled metal buttons ensures a secure, weatherproof seal.
Practical Utility and Condition
Supplied in Grade 1 surplus condition, this overcoat shows light service wear with all seams and hardware intact. Two deep slanted waist pockets hold essentials, while a deep rear walking vent allows easy stride during daily wear, commuting, or vintage styling. The durable fabric requires standard dry cleaning to preserve its tailored structure.
Upgrade your military surplus collection or cold-weather wardrobe with this rare German Air Force ceremonial overcoat.
This item was used by the German Airforce during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
