This original Romanian Army rucksack in blue is a genuine Cold War military surplus pack.

Cold War Heritage

This original Romanian Army rucksack was issued during the Cold War to the Gărzile Patriotice (Patriotic Guards), a Romanian paramilitary force established in 1968. Unlike standard olive green infantry gear, this pack features a distinct deep blue cotton canvas. This unique colour was specifically selected for civil defence and rear-guard security units during the communist era.

Utility & Construction

Built to survive demanding military use, the pack is made from heavy-duty cotton canvas with robust vegetable-tanned leather shoulder straps. All major stress points are reinforced with heavy stitching and leather patches. It features a spacious main compartment with a secure drawstring closure under the protective top lid to keep your gear dry and safe in the field.
