KEY FEATURES
The Original Russian Army Flora Camo Field Cap is a genuine piece of post-Cold War military surplus headwear.
Post-Cold War Design & History
Introduced in 1998 to replace the older vertical VSR-93 pattern, the VSR-98 Flora camouflage was designed for woodland environments. Often nicknamed Arbuz or watermelon because of its horizontal shapes, this cap saw active service with Russian Armed Forces infantry. Supplied in unissued Supergrade condition with original internal factory stamps.
Fold-Down Ear Flap Construction
Built from heavy-duty cotton twill fabric, this cap features fold-down ear and neck flaps that secure under the chin with double buttons. When the weather warms up, the flaps fold up neatly over the crown and button out of the way. Integrated metal ventilation eyelets on both sides keep air circulating during heavy activity.
Practical Outdoor & Field Utility
The stiffened front brim shields your eyes from glare and rain. Whether you are building a shelter, hunting in thick cover, or expanding a surplus collection, this cap provides proven field performance. Its durable weave and flexible design make it a reliable choice for bushcraft, hiking, and outdoor work.
Add this genuine Russian Flora camo field cap to your outdoor kit for practical weather protection.

Supergrade is our highest condition rating for genuine military surplus. Items in this category are in near-new, top-tier condition and have seen little to no field use.
- Origin: Typically unissued reserve stock, trial gear, or kit issued but never actively deployed.
- Fabric & Materials: Crisp, fully intact, and structurally perfect with original color vibrancy and no fading.
- Hardware & Fastenings: Zips, press studs, hook-and-loop closures, and buckles operate like new with no functional wear.
- Markings & Repairs: No holes, tears, repairs, or personalized user markings. Factory issue labels and faint depot storage stamps may be present.
- Storage & Scent: May show minor creasing or light dust from transit. Like most authentic military surplus held in long-term dry storage, items may carry a faint warehouse scent that clears easily with a quick first wash or air-out.
This three-color pattern features horizontal, sweeping bands of dark green, olive-brown, and sometimes black, designed with an abstract floral appearance. It was developed to disrupt the human silhouette in temperate Russian woodland and forested environments, standardizing disparate post-Soviet camouflage patterns.
