This original World War 2 Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) lapel badge is a piece of history, representing the service of AFS members during air raids. Made from silver-coloured metal, it features the distinctive red 'AFS' lettering within a red band, set against an eight-pointed star. The King's Crown is positioned at the top. It fastens securely with a buttonhole crescent and the reverse side shows the maker's mark 'J. PINCHES LONDON'. As a surplus item, there may be slight variations in condition.
