Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
The Italian Military San Marco Duffel Bag is a genuine surplus kit bag built for heavy equipment transport.
San Marco Pattern & Heritage
Issued to Italian naval infantry and paratroopers, this bag features the classic San Marco camouflage pattern derived from the original 1929 Telo Mimetico design. Its distinctive earth-tone blotches of brown, green, and tan were designed for concealment across Mediterranean coastal and woodland environments, giving this vintage transport sack a unique look for military collectors.
Heavyweight Construction & Capacity
Made from a dense cotton blend canvas, this kit bag holds up to 66 litres of gear while measuring 14 inches by 10 inches by 29 inches. The top loading opening allows you to pack bulky kit like sleeping bags, tents, or clothing without awkward zippers snagging. The fabric is tough enough to withstand rough ground contact during travel or field work.
Simple Drawstring Closure & Storage
The top features a reliable braided rope drawstring closure that passes through reinforced eyelets, keeping your gear secure inside. When empty, the unpadded canvas body folds completely flat to take up minimal room in your pack or wardrobe, making it ideal for camping trips, bushcraft gear storage, or heavy-duty workwear transport.
Pack your camping gear, clothing, or outdoor kit in this authentic Italian military surplus duffel bag.
This item was used by the Italian Marines during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
A soft-edged, mottled pattern of rounded blotches, typically in muted sea green, reddish-brown, and sand, sometimes including black and grey tones. This pattern was developed for the Italian Navy's elite San Marco Marines, optimized for concealment in Mediterranean coastal, marshland, and amphibious environments.
