Tubular Aluminium Construction
Formed from lightweight tubular aluminium, the frame measures 20.5 by 12.5 inches to fit standard medium and large LC-1 packs. The rigid crossbars and central rib stop gear sagging under load, whilst creating an open air gap between the rucksack and your back to reduce heat build-up during long route marches.
Padded Harness & Quick Release
The harness combines dense polyester-padded shoulder straps with heavy-duty box-X stitching that resists tearing under heavy strain. For emergency field safety, the left strap features a pull-tab quick-release buckle, letting you ditch the entire load instantly with a single pull if you lose footing or hit deep water.
Weight Transfer Kidney Pad
A wide, cushioned kidney pad wraps the lower back to cushion your spine against the metal frame. Fastened with a heavy-duty quick-release waist buckle, it locks around your pelvis to transfer the brunt of the pack weight onto your hips and core legs, preventing severe lower-back fatigue on steep ascents.
