Polish Puma Camo Winter Gloves
Good used condition. Fully functional and field-ready, with light wear and typical service markings.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
These are genuine Polish military winter gloves in the rare wz. 89 Puma camouflage.
Cold War Polish Camouflage
Originally issued from 1989 to 1993, the wz. 89 Puma pattern was a short-lived camouflage designed for the Polish Armed Forces as Poland transitioned away from the Warsaw Pact. Known as 'Żaba' (frog) or reptile pattern, this two-colour design was quickly replaced by wz. 93 Pantera, making surviving combat gear highly sought after by collectors.
Insulated Thermal Protection
These combat gloves feature a tight-weave cotton-blend shell paired with a thick, fully sewn-in lining. This dual-layer construction traps a layer of warm air near the skin while remaining breathable, ensuring your hands stay warm during stationary field work without sacrificing the finger dexterity required for operating tools or triggers.
Practical Utility Features
Designed for active cold-weather field use, the gloves incorporate part-elasticated wrists on the inner side. This elastic band hugs the wrist to seal out freezing wind, rain, and snow without requiring bulky straps. The five-finger design offers a reliable grip, making them highly practical for bushcraft, hiking, and winter workwear.
Add these rare Polish wz. 89 Puma winter combat gloves to your outdoor kit or military collection.
This item was used by the Polish Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
The wz. 89 Puma pattern features dark green amoeba-like irregular shapes scattered across a lighter green field, often likened to reptile or alligator skin. Intended for concealment in Polish woodland and forest terrain, it served as an intermediate design before the wz. 93 Pantera, though it had limited effectiveness and poor infrared reflection.
