Wartime Design and Origins
Introduced in 1938 as part of the 1937 Pattern Web Equipment, this haversack served British and Commonwealth forces throughout the Second World War. Carried on the hip or mounted on the back in battle order, it held vital field rations and kit. These post-war 1950s production packs maintain the exact wartime design and military specifications.
Heavy-Duty Webbing Construction
Made from tough pre-shrunk cotton canvas webbing, this pack provides outstanding durability in rough field conditions. The main flap fastens with twin web straps and classic solid brass buckles for secure closure. Integrated attachment loops on the back and base allow easy fitting to webbing braces or a shoulder strap for comfortable transport.
Organised Internal Compartments
Inside, the main compartment features internal canvas dividers designed to separate mess tins, personal gear, and spare clothing. Protective fold-in side weather flaps shield your contents from dirt and moisture. This item was used by the British Army during the WWII (1939–1945) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
