Post-Cold War Design & History
Introduced in 1998 to replace the older vertical VSR-93 pattern, the VSR-98 Flora camouflage was designed for woodland environments. Often nicknamed Arbuz or watermelon because of its horizontal shapes, this cap saw active service with Russian Armed Forces infantry. Supplied in unissued Supergrade condition with original internal factory stamps.
Fold-Down Ear Flap Construction
Built from heavy-duty cotton twill fabric, this cap features fold-down ear and neck flaps that secure under the chin with double buttons. When the weather warms up, the flaps fold up neatly over the crown and button out of the way. Integrated metal ventilation eyelets on both sides keep air circulating during heavy activity.

This item was issued to the Russian Army during the Post‑Cold War (1991–2000) and remains in Supergrade condition. It is unissued original surplus, but may have minor dust or storage marks from warehouse storage. We recommend giving it a wash or airing it out before wearing.
