Historical Rank Insignia
These sew-on rank stripes represent the insignia worn by Non-Commissioned Officers in the British Army. The two-bar chevron denotes the rank of Corporal, a leader who commanded a small section of soldiers. This specific pattern was standard issue from 1920 until 1953, making them suitable for both WWI and WWII uniform displays.
Traditional Construction
Each patch is made with off-white cotton embroidery on a coarse khaki-brown wool backing. This design matches the textured look of wartime service dress and battledress tunics.
