US III Corps Patch
Good used condition. Fully functional and field-ready, with light wear and typical service markings.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
The original US III Corps patch is a genuine military surplus shoulder sleeve insignia.
Unit History and Symbolism
First organized in France in May 1918, the US III Corps served in World War I, World War II, and later conflicts. The badge features a blue caltrop with a white centre triangle. Based on the ancient anti-cavalry device, the three points mark the corps' numerical designation, while the blue and white background reflects official US Army corps flag colours.
Technical Specifications
Measuring 7.5cm at the widest point and 5.5cm at the highest, this cloth badge is built to standard military dimensions. The front has full thread embroidery on a sturdy backing fabric, encircled by an overlocked black border. This outer stitching locks the thread edges, preventing fraying when sewn onto service tunics, fatigue shirts, or collector display boards.
Collector and Reenactor Utility
This original surplus shoulder badge provides exact historical accuracy for US Army uniform restorations and WWII or Cold War displays. Beyond military collections, its low-profile cotton construction makes it easy to sew onto field jackets, rucksacks, or caps for a subtle vintage military touch.
Complete your US Army uniform setup or collection board with this original III Corps patch.
