KEY FEATURES
The French Army F2 Two-Man Desert Tent is a lightweight, compact military-grade ridge tent.
Genuine Military Heritage
Designed for French forces in arid environments, this genuine French Army F2 tent represents classic tactical utility. The A-frame design offers a fast-pitch shelter built to strict military specifications. It replaces heavier canvas predecessors with a durable ripstop nylon fabric that resists wear, making it a reliable choice for campers, bushcrafters, and military collectors.
Weatherproof and Well-Ventilated
The single-skin roof features polyurethane-coated nylon to repel wind and rain, while the base is protected by a thick rubberised groundsheet that prevents ground moisture from seeping inside. Airflow is optimised through lower side mesh vents with Velcro flaps and triangular end ventilation panels, which help prevent condensation and keep biting insects out.
Lightweight and Rapid Setup
Weighing only 3.2kg and packing down to 55cm by 27cm, this compact tent is highly portable. It is supplied with two collapsible aluminium poles, guy ropes, and ground pegs, allowing for quick assembly in minutes. The double-ended zippered entry provides easy access and can be rolled back and secured to maximise fresh air circulation in warm weather.
Equip your kit bag with this durable, battle-tested shelter for your next outdoor excursion.
This item was issued to the French Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and remains in Supergrade condition. It is unissued original surplus, but may have minor dust or storage marks from warehouse storage. We recommend giving it a wash or airing it out before wearing.

Supergrade is our highest condition rating for genuine military surplus. Items in this category are in near-new, top-tier condition and have seen little to no field use.
- Origin: Typically unissued reserve stock, trial gear, or kit issued but never actively deployed.
- Fabric & Materials: Crisp, fully intact, and structurally perfect with original color vibrancy and no fading.
- Hardware & Fastenings: Zips, press studs, hook-and-loop closures, and buckles operate like new with no functional wear.
- Markings & Repairs: No holes, tears, repairs, or personalized user markings. Factory issue labels and faint depot storage stamps may be present.
- Storage & Scent: May show minor creasing or light dust from transit. Like most authentic military surplus held in long-term dry storage, items may carry a faint warehouse scent that clears easily with a quick first wash or air-out.
“Aye, it looks great. As it's a gift for my nephew, I haven't unwrapped it; he's planning a trip out on Thursday and I don't anticipate any negative feedback (apart from the fact his mam may be accompanying him 🤣). I'd recommend SQ to anyone. Great service, product range and price. 10/10”
