This is a genuine Czech M60 military water bottle, complete with an insulating cover and leather straps.
Cold War Military Heritage
Originally issued to the Czechoslovak People's Army (ČSLA) during the Cold War, this M60 canteen was a standard field necessity. Built from lightweight aluminium, the bottle is painted in classic olive drab. This durable metal construction was engineered to withstand rugged field use while keeping overall pack weight to a minimum on long treks.
Natural Wool Thermal Insulation
The bottle is wrapped in a thick felted wool cover that provides natural insulation. In cold weather, it helps prevent water from freezing, while in summer, wetting the wool cover cools the contents via evaporation. A set of black leather straps with metal buckle fasteners secures the cover and forms an integrated loop, allowing you to easily lash the canteen onto your gear.
Vintage Utility and Field Care
This 0.8-litre canteen is ideal for bushcraft and camping. The bottle features a tethered cap, utilizing either a traditional cork stopper or a grey plastic plug. As genuine surplus, each piece shows unique character with minor surface dings. If the wool cover shrinks, simply soak it in warm water and stretch it over the metal body for a perfect, secure fit.

This item was used by the Czech Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Distressed condition. It shows heavier signs of use and fading, but remains fully functional. We recommend washing before use.
