KEY FEATURES
This is an original East German NVA Workers Cap in Grade 1 surplus condition.
Cold War Utility Headwear
Issued to maintenance crews, transport personnel, and factory workers across the German Democratic Republic (DDR), this East German NVA Workers Cap delivers stripped-back utilitarian function. Built for the Nationale Volksarmee logistical wings, it provided lightweight head cover during maintenance and manual duties without unnecessary bulk or metal badges.
Durable Construction & Fit
Woven from a resilient blue cotton and polyester blend, the fabric breathes easily while handling the friction of workshop tasks. Distinctive contrast white stitching outlines the panels for added seam strength. Instead of metal buckles, an elasticated rear section adjusts smoothly across head sizes 57 to 63 cm to maintain a secure hold all day.
Functional Peak & Daily Utility
The reinforced short peak keeps glare, saw dust, and light precipitation off your face without catching in cramped work environments. Supplied in Grade 1 condition, each cap shows light storage or service history with full structural integrity. It functions seamlessly for garage projects, gardening, casual vintage wear, or DDR historical displays.
Equip your workshop or collection with genuine Cold War military surplus.
This item was used by the German Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
