Cold War RSR Heritage
Originally manufactured during the Cold War era for the Socialist Republic of Romania (RSR), these heavy-duty packs were built to endure brutal field use. They are made from a heavyweight cotton canvas that gives you exceptional tear-resistance. Under the large storm flap, a classic drawstring rope closure keeps your dry gear secure from the elements.
Leather Harness and Gear Straps
They feature thick, adjustable leather shoulder straps that hook onto the back, designed to carry heavy combat loads without tearing. You also get heavy-duty leather corner piping to guard the bottom seams from rough ground wear. The front strap is a dedicated helmet attachment strap with metal buckles, perfect for tying down a bedroll or wood axe.
Modern Bushcraft and Travel Use
With an estimated 30-litre capacity, this pack is a solid alternative to modern, fragile nylon bags. The single-chamber layout has a handy side pocket that easily holds a canteen. In Grade 1 surplus condition, they show minor storage wear, but the canvas and metal remain fully functional for camping, bushcraft, or daily commutes.

This item was used by the Romanian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
