Historical Rank Insignia
These sew-on rank stripes represent the insignia worn by Non-Commissioned Officers in the British Army. The two-bar chevron denotes the rank of Corporal, a leader who commanded a small section of soldiers. This specific pattern was standard issue from 1920 until 1953, making them suitable for both WWI and WWII uniform displays.
Traditional Construction
Each patch is made with off-white cotton embroidery on a coarse khaki-brown wool backing. This design matches the textured look of wartime service dress and battledress tunics. The materials are selected for their vintage look and strength, ensuring they blend naturally with historical uniform fabrics.
Sewing and Care
The flexible fabric backing is easy to stitch onto uniform sleeves. They come as a matching pair to complete both shoulders of your tunic. To keep the wool base and cotton stitching in good condition, dry cleaning or gentle hand washing in cool water with mild detergent is recommended. Dry them flat away from direct heat.

This item was issued to the British Army during the WWII (1939–1945) and remains in Supergrade condition. It is unissued original surplus, but may have minor dust or storage marks from warehouse storage. We recommend giving it a wash or airing it out before wearing.
