French Army Black Leather Gloves
Excellent, near-new condition. May be unissued or show only the slightest signs of long-term storage.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
These are genuine French Army black leather gloves.
Cold War Military Heritage
These unlined utility gloves were first issued to French soldiers during the late Cold War for handling heavy equipment, combat operations, and driving duties. Made by French military contractors, they were designed to protect hands without adding bulky layers. The lightweight, 100% full-grain black leather allows soldiers to maintain high finger dexterity in active field situations.
Secure Fit and Grip
The gloves feature a durable, built-in hook-and-loop wrist strap on the underside. This allows the wearer to tighten the cuff easily, sealing out cold air, dust, and debris. Reinforced stitching along the seams and palm ensures the gloves stand up to heavy wear, while the supple animal hide naturally conforms to your hand shape over time for an improved grip.
Practical Outdoor Utility
These are ideal for bushcraft, driving, and workwear because they balance protection with manual control. European military sizing runs large; a standard size 8 fits up to a size 10, meaning they provide a roomier fit than civilian designs. This extra room prevents hand fatigue during long hours of outdoor work, hiking, or motorcycle riding.
Equip yourself with these classic military leather gloves for your next outdoor task or drive.

- Origin: Typically unissued reserve stock, trial gear, or kit issued but never actively deployed.
- Fabric & Materials: Crisp, fully intact, and structurally perfect with original color vibrancy and no fading.
- Hardware & Fastenings: Zips, press studs, hook-and-loop closures, and buckles operate like new with no functional wear.
- Markings & Repairs: No holes, tears, repairs, or personalized user markings. Factory issue labels and faint depot storage stamps may be present.
- Storage & Scent: May show minor creasing or light dust from transit. Like most authentic military surplus held in long-term dry storage, items may carry a faint warehouse scent that clears easily with a quick first wash or air-out.
