These are the classic 1971 Pattern overalls worn by Royal Air Force ground crews and technicians. They were standard issue for mechanics and engineers working in busy hangars during the Cold War. Each suit comes with the official embroidered RAF chest patch and the iconic red, white, and blue roundel, so you are getting genuine military history.
Built For Dirty Work
The fabric is a tough 65/35 polycotton blend. It is way more durable than basic civilian overalls but stays breathable and light when you are active. You will spot the distinctive navy blue collar and shoulder epaulettes that contrast with the slate blue body. This material is made to take a beating and washes clean easily.
Smart Functional Details
You get a full-length hook-and-loop front, which means you can pull these on over your boots and normal clothes in seconds. There is a deep cargo pocket on the leg, adjustable waist tabs, and pass-through pocket slits so you can reach your trouser pockets underneath. This item was used by the British Airforce during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
