KEY FEATURES
This Bulgarian heavy duty olive green fatigue shirt is a genuine Cold War military surplus piece.
Cold War Heritage
This original Bulgarian olive green fatigue shirt was issued to the Balgarska Narodna Armiya during the late Cold War. Based on the classic Slavic gymnastyorka style, it is made from heavy 100% cotton drill to withstand rugged Balkan field conditions. The three-button neck features a traditional hook-and-eye throat fastening for secure wind protection.
Combat Utility Features
This shirt includes unique metal belt hooks that slot through the waist to help support and distribute the weight of a heavy combat belt. The internal waist drawstring lets you cinch the midsection for a custom fit. Embossed pewter-coloured buttons feature the five-pointed socialist star, securing two scalloped chest pockets.
Everyday Versatility
The open, buttonless cuffs allow you to roll up the sleeves quickly during active work or warm weather. With no camouflage pattern, this shirt acts as a versatile outer layer for bushcraft, hiking, and everyday vintage wear. It delivers far greater durability than standard civilian clothing.
Add this robust, field-proven Eastern Bloc pullover to your outdoor kit or vintage collection.
This item was used by the Bulgarian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
