This genuine Dutch Army 3-way folding shovel is an original military-issue entrenching tool with its DPM cover.
NATO Specification Build
First issued under the Dutch designation klapschep, this 1996-dated tool was manufactured to strict NATO standards for the Koninklijke Landmacht (Royal Netherlands Army). The heavy-duty carbon steel spade head features a serrated edge designed to cut through thick roots and hard ground, providing superior digging power compared to standard civilian spades.
Versatile Tri-Fold Mechanism
The innovative three-way folding design utilises a heavy-duty locking collar to secure the spade at multiple angles. Lock it at 90 degrees to function as a pick or hoe for trenching, or extend it fully to 60cm as a standard shovel. This adaptable system collapses down to just 24cm, making it an essential, space-saving tool for vehicle emergency kits and survival packs.
Genuine Seyntex Camouflage Cover
Each shovel includes its original DPM camouflage pouch manufactured by Seyntex under the official NATO Stock Number NSN 8465-17-106-4041. Made from heavy-duty, water-resistant material, the cover features a secure Spanish quick-release buckle. This durable pouch protects your gear and allows for easy attachment to belts, webbing, or outdoor rucksacks.

This item was used by the Dutch Army during the Post‑Cold War (1991–2000) and is in Distressed condition. It shows heavier signs of use and fading, but remains fully functional. We recommend washing before use.
