British Army MTP Winter Hat
Good used condition. Fully functional and field-ready, with light wear and typical service markings.
Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
This original British MTP winter hat provides reliable cold-weather head protection for outdoor conditions.
Military Spec Weather Protection
Issued to British Armed Forces personnel for harsh operations, this cap features a 100% polyamide shell with a PTFE Moisture Vapour Permeable (MVP) membrane. The breathable, waterproof construction blocks severe wind and rain while venting internal sweat, preventing damp chill during strenuous hiking, bushcraft, or field duties.
Thermal Lining and Adaptable Coverage
Designed for cold-weather utility, the interior is lined with soft thermal polyester fleece that traps body heat around the head and ears. Fold-down side flaps secure under the chin with hook-and-loop closures or wrap over the crown, allowing quick ventilation adjustments as weather conditions shift during outdoor activities.
Field-Ready Technical Details
An elasticated drawcord with a barrel toggle keeps the hat anchored in heavy gusts, while the moldable wired peak shapes easily to clear your line of sight from glare and winter driving rain. The rear hook-and-loop strap ensures a snug, custom fit across varying head sizes.
Equip yourself with genuine British military headwear for your next cold-weather expedition.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
This multi-terrain pattern blends earthy tones of brown, green, and tan, incorporating distinct brushstroke-like shapes derived from traditional DPM with the color gradient of MultiCam. Designed for versatile concealment across diverse environments, it was developed to replace separate woodland and desert uniforms for consistent effectiveness in mixed operational landscapes, notably in Afghanistan.
